I love your website! I'm really looking forward to your deluxe wedding:) Awesome photos of you and Stephen.
Nicole what can I say, other than I’m so happy for you and Stephen! I’m also honored that you chose me as one of your bridesmaids. You and I have been friends since we were 9 years old and it’s almost surreal to look at you now and see the woman you have grown up to be. You are successful, beautiful and building a life for yourself and I’m really proud of you. I have nothing but love for you and I am so excited to be part of all of the wedding festivities. It has truly been a privilege to witness the growth of your relationship with Stephen. I can honestly say that it’s refreshing to see two people so deserving of each other and who balance each other out in so many positive ways join forces. The union between you and Stephen will be a beautiful thing to be a part of in May.
I absolutely love this website and I have copied the" Family is" poem. Nicole I just love that as well.

My Family. Well what can I say, other than I am a firm believer that I have the best family in the world.
Growing up I was taught good Christian values and was raised in a loving house hold. I would have to say my relationship with my siblings/parents are one like no other. My best friends are my parents and siblings. In my honest humble opinion – you start and end life with family.
I have the most loving, nurturing, understanding and cool parents ever. Growing up not only did I view them as parents but started to look at them like my friends. The relationship has only grown positively as I have gotten older, and now that I live outside of my parents home, I take every opportunity I have to spend time with them
I one day will be a parents and hope to live up to my role models (Mom, Dad and Sister Melissa).
One of the hardest things about planning this wedding is knowing that one of my best friends (my dear sweet little brother) will not be here in the physical presence, however I know he will be there in spirit.
understanding, never demanding,
all for one and one for all,
I will never leave you alone standing.
one in itself, my love is your love,
your pain is my pain, my wealth is your wealth,
I promise to never leave you by yourself.
the strongest team, the strongest unit;
if love could be visualized,
family would be the blue print.
forgiveness and patience,
it's sweeter than the sweetest fragrance,
the power of family is a reflection of God's compassion and magnificence.
never turning our back, and never shames,
lend my helping hand and not a finger pointing the blame.
No matter what, a family bond can never be broken,
even through a nuclear explosion,
if one of us lives we all live.
Forever to eternity, we are family,
my father, my mother, my sister my brother and me.
According to Stephen:
The proposal happened on January 18, 2016, when I finally received the engagement ring. I knew I wouldn’t be able to sleep until I proposed to Nicole, and decided that the best course of action would be to propose the same day! During the day, while Nicole was at work, I decorated the whole staircase up to our main level with rose petals and candles, as well as the main level itself. After Nicole finished work, we went straight to the dentist, and then for a nice sushi dinner (we were going to go to the Keg, but Nicole’s mouth was frozen, and chewing wasn’t really an option). After dinner, I was getting nervous, because I knew that we would be heading home soon. Just as we were about to head home, Nicole’s parents asked us to pop by their house to help them with some chores. We decided to head home first, and I convinced Nicole that I had to head inside for a second to get something. It was at this point, that I manually lit the 70+ candles I had set up. The toughest part was convincing Nicole to come inside the house to help me put away some items before going out to her parents’ house, since she was in a rush to get the chores done. I finally convinced Nicole though, and when she came inside, the lights were off, so all Nicole saw when she came in were rose petals and candles. It was at that moment she knew what was going on, and she started crying immediately. It took a bit more convincing to get Nicole upstairs, since she was already crying so much, but I finally brought Nicole up the staircase to the main level, got on one knee, and proposed to her. Her saying “yes” made this the most memorable day of my life, and I am so happy to have her as my fiancé, and soon-to-be wife.
According to Nicole:
The proposal… where do I even begin. We had only been dating for 8 months and 5 days to be exact when it happened. Let’s rewind, So Stephen and I had dentist appointments scheduled for the evening and we had planned a romantic dinner after at the golf course. Well after the dentist and my mouth being over frozen, we were unable to go for our steak dinner and settled for soft all you can eat sushi. It was already late, and I was getting Hangry (hungry+angry). I had received a call from my mother on the way to dinner letting me know she needed me to stop by her house to drop something off. So we entered the restaurant and attempted to have dinner. Due to the freezing, I literally could not eat with the right side of my mouth, and I look like a leaky faucet attempting to eat and drink. We decided to pop home before my parents. Stephen was taking extremely long inside the house, and after he asked me to come inside. I was really lazy and did not want to go inside. After some creative persuading I followed Stephen in to the house to notice all the lights off and candles lit all the way up the stairs to the family room with a rose petal path way. It took some more creative persuasions to get me upstairs, where he was at the end of the path on his knees. It was the most magical special day of my life, and I cannot wait to finally become Mrs. Stephen Krull.
How I met the man of my dreams? Well, it all started, on a Saturday evening I received a phone call from my sister, Melissa whom was attending her father in-law’s retirement party in the Bruce Peninsula. She called me to tell me that she has met my future husband and we have to meet.
After a brief exchange of words with Sister Melissa I was suddenly speaking with this man (who at that point I did not know would be the love of my life). We had agreed to meet the next day as he would be visiting the GTA to see his mother and grandmother for Mother’s Day. As I was sitting at home on the front porch with a couple of friends and my cousin, I received a phone call from an unrecognizable number. It was him, Stephen Krull. He told me he would be over in 30 minutes. Mum and Dad are in Florida during this time. So with the help of my girls, we quickly cleaned the house, whipped up chocolate chip cookies and managed to jump into the shower before my blind date arrival. When Stephen arrived, I was totally caught off guard. Like who says they will be somewhere in 30 minutes and is actually on time. It was that moment that Stephen rung the door bell, I answered I looked into his eyes and knew he would be mine forever.
This amazing journey all started while I was working and living up in Wiarton. It was May 8th and I was at my coworker’s retirement party. While I was at the party, I met Nicole’s sister, Melissa. She was one of the few younger people present at the party that weren’t close to their own retirements! During the evening, Melissa found out that I was single, and told me that she had a “sister that was single” who would be perfect for me. Next thing I know, Melissa has my phone, and is calling Nicole so we can chat. By now, it’s around 11:30 PM. It was a bit of an awkward conversation, since she was in the middle of heading out with her friends, and we were both half-tipsy. But we still hit it off, and decided that we would meet up on Sunday.
So, on May 10, I visited my parents in Toronto for Mother’s Day brunch, after which I headed over to meet Nicole. I’d never met someone out of the blue like this, and needless to say, I was nervous. Arriving at her house, Nicole greeted me. Her pictures didn’t do her justice; she was beautiful, smart, kind, funny, had eyes that pulled you in, and a great smile. She had an equally-weird sense of humour as well, and I knew that we would be perfect for each other. She even made me homemade chocolate chip cookies! I loved Nicole from the first day I met her, and I knew I had to have Nicole as a part of my life.
Stephen Krull is the son of Ruth and Sid Krull, and the younger brother of Hilary Krull.
Stephen was born in Toronto, Ontario in October 1988. With his family, he has lived in Toronto, Mount Forest, and Oakville. Stephen had a fun, educational and busy childhood with his family and friends: family vacations; board games, puzzles and crafts; bicycling; swimming lessons; playing and refereeing soccer; drumming lessons and playing in bands both in high school and in university; attending a musical-theatre school for several summers and training as a theatre technician; curling; skiing. He is a well-rounded person, eager to learn, quick-witted, and joyfully immerses himself in the new experiences and with the new people he meets.
During Stephen’s schooling at the University of Western Ontario, he lived in London, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Economics. Stephen is also a trained Desktop Support Analyst, having worked for UWO “Reznet” I.T. Services during his schooling, and for the UWO School of Medicine and Dentistry for one year after graduating. Additionally, he volunteered many hours of support to UWO Campus Police, as an I.T. specialist, where he helped catch computer thieves.
During his training with the Ontario Provincial Police, he resided in both Aylmer and Orillia, graduating from Police College as a Provincial Constable. Stephen’s first placement was with the Bruce Peninsula Detachment. He lived in Wiarton for those first 2¾ years, though regularly travelling between Wiarton (work), London (friends), Oakville (family), and Toronto (family and friends).
Having met Nicole in May 2015, Stephen knew, in short order, that Wiarton was too far away from her, and he was able to transfer to the Caledon detachment in October 2015. It’s been a whirlwind 12 months for Stephen and Nicole. By October 2015, they were sharing a rental townhouse; by February 2016, they were engaged; and by May 2016, they’d put a deposit down on a house they are having built in Orangeville.
Best Wishes to our dearest son Stephen, and his fiancé Nicole (who we’ve been so happy to get to know), as they embark on their future together!
With love and hugs!
Ruth and Sid
On September 6, 1988, Rick and Lillette were blessed with a beautiful baby girl. Her skin and face were flawless and not to mention those beautiful eyes that capitvated her dad when she looked at her Dad for the first time. Yes, she is Daddy's little girl.
Nicole has grown into a beautiful young woman inside and out. She is a very thoughtful and considerate person. Nicole is a young entrepreneur and is currently working at Rogers Communications Inc., following both her Mum and Dad's footsteps in the Project Management profession.
Nicole has a sister named Melissa Malott and a brother named Michael Patel. Nicole is the proud Aunty and Godmother to her beautiful niece - Riley Lilly-Michael Malott and Jameson Donald Malott. She is the proud granddaughter of Sushila Patel and Jasodra Singh and of the late Hasmukh Patel and Mohan Singh.
I must say, when Nicole was living at home, it was hard to get her to clean her room. Now that she is on her own, Nicole not only cleans her place, but also cooks amazing meals that she showcases on "Snapchat". Nicole's Dad and I often get jealous because she never cooked like that at home, so a conclusion was drawn, and that is that she found her match - Stephen -- who shares Nicole's passion for food but also the joy and love she feels for cooking for Stephen.
Stephen entered Nicole's life and put sheer sunshine into her smiles and her outlook on life. I am so happy to see the love that both Stephen and Nicole have for each other. We love our daughter dearly, and we ask and know that what we have seen so far, that Stephen will take good care of her.
After the devasting loss of our beloved son - Michael Patel -- Stephen has brought some joy back into our lives. We often say that Michael, Stephen and Don would have been the three amigos who would have gotten along so well.
Stephen, our ask of you is to continue to love our daughter with the same passion and adoration that you have today, for the rest of your life. May God bless you both with lots of love, happiness and prosperity for a long and healthy married life together.
PS: We would love two more grandchildren not four.
Cheers, Rick and Lillette
